CRANKSHAFT DYNAMICS AND STRENGTH

The objective of this in-house development was to build up the know-how for the correct implementation of flexible structures derived from FE-calculation in multi-body simulations. The most important aspect here is the re-transformation of dynamic values from the multi-body system into the FE-system for calculating dynamic stresses.
For deeper evaluation of the stress levels derived in this way, the section plane algorithm was developed to offer efficient post-processing.

 

WELD SEAM RATING

Statically and dynamically stressed welded structures require theoretical strength verifications according to different standards and rules. PRISMA Engineering set out to create a weld seam evaluation program that could determine component safety for individual weld seam types, weld seam qualities and stress orientations.

 

 

 

FRICTION CALCULATION AT CRANK TRAIN

PRISMA Engineering has worked out a reliable method of friction calculation by means of Finite Elements. This enables a detailed calculation including structural elasticity which is not considered in the existing programmes.
