The Cube

With its extraordinary facade and cubic form, Prisma Engineering’s building is one of the most visited landmarks of the local architectural scene.

The name says it all: the cube is a prism when viewed from each side. The edge length of 18 m results in a floor space area of about 1,200 m² spread over four and a half floors. In addition to a large testing and measuring hall on the ground floor and an open top atrium, space was created for 30 state-of-the-art computer workstations as well as staff rooms for employees.

The windows are distributed irregularly over the facade and give the building a size not noticeable at first glance. The ingenious facade creates an interesting difference between close-range and long-range effect for the viewer. Pictures of cogs of various sizes are used as a classic ornament.
