Rail vehicles

Advanced high-duty bogies run 600,000 km a year, with an operation period of 30 years. The bogie frame links the car body to the wheel sets of a railway carriage, and is a welded steel construction optimized in terms of weight and manufacturing. The detailed FE calculation was meant to assist and support the design process. Measuring points were determined for fatigue strength testing of the bogie frame, and the test results were compared with the calculation results, with a high degree of conformity.

The essential development criteria for passenger trains are both the strength analysis and the driving comfort. In cooperation with our client we carry out complex operating vibration analyses of the virtual vehicle.
